Let There Be Light
First of all…
Good morning, come, circle round the sun and raise your eyes to the heavens this morning and give thanks to your mother and to this beautiful loving earth we stand upon. Just the simple act of looking up into the sky, can shift your mood from negative to positive, from contraction to expansion, from dark to light. Let there be light.
Yes, let there be light. I wonder why so many people seem to want to flirt with death before necessary? They do all sorts of things to hasten the end by acting out, taking risks that are unnecessary. They do things in small increments that degrade health and damage the path way to joy. Death. There is nothing to it really. It’s a dark space. No conflicts exist in this space. It is not so hard to imagine why it seems welcome when we can’t seem to figure out how to navigate our lives. But when you see a person in grave health or at the precipice of surrender trying to hold on to the last hope of life, the last breath, you realize what life is. Life is precious and unruly at times. But it is because life is such a gift, we have been given here on earth, it is not meant to be squandered. We have a claim to life and all that it brings to us, while in the body.
The yogis believe that incarnating as a human being is such a tremendous opportunity that even angels are envious of us. Because as a human being, we have the power to experience God consciousness, God realization. No other nervous system in the universe can support this dimension of awareness. So you see how being a human is actually an invitation to being divine. Why then, waste it in needless suffering?
When we loose our connection to our inner light, which is consciousness, then our life force becomes clouded and darkness seeps in. That darkness, which shows up as negative thoughts and emotions, is fed by fear and pain. It steals our light. The people who aren’t aware that this is playing out, become overwhelmed until the outer world conditions become a reflection that leads to misery and to the conditions which feed illness, disruptions, dysfunction or even so called accidents.
We share life with everyone and everything here on earth by the invitation that came from the womb of our mother and the seed of our father. The need to continue the expression of life as a human being where God-realization is possible, takes a conscious decision to create life as we want it to be. It is indeed a choice and though we want to blame someone or something else when things don’t work out as we want, we do have a choice. Let there be light.
Living each day as a human soul , in a body, I carry the living light, a radiant thing of beauty. I have the element of the stars in me, so I suppose that makes me a little star....you as well. Let it shine! Don’t hide your light behind some false beliefs of being less than who and what you are!
You and I are naturally meant to be in grace. We have the ability to choose each day, or if we are become mindful enough, to choose each moment, to be in love or be in suffering. Either one will do....will do something that is, for the quality of your life.
Given that you do have choice, despite the outward conditions you find yourself in this world....you have a choice, to sit down, take a few breaths and meditate, and know that God and you are one....that makes you a part of everything here. And it is your responsibility to choose the light or choose the darkness. And because we are in a world where duality is the nature of the things, choice is important and makes all the difference.
So love it or leave it...but the beauty is in the living. Death has very little to offer, except maybe a do over, but who really can be certain? After all there may be a long line waiting of deserving souls for the human body ride if you uphold the idea of reincarnation.
The light of life is within you. The light of life is around you. You are the expression of the light of life itself. Now how do you choose to show up? Will you shine and stand connected to your true self, or will you lay down and let the dark cover your promise of who you came here to be?
I say let there be light, Keep the candle burning.
That is why we are here....
